I apologiiiiize…¹

Reading the last post over, I realized that it had all-together too much video game talk. I’d really rather not frighten off anyone who’s reading but doesn’t much care for gaming. I honestly do plan to fill you in on holes you might have regarding parts of my life (Korea, Camp Nominingue, etc.), as well as keep you abreast of parts of my life that don’t involve video games, but with my infrequent and irregular blogging schedule, it just hasn’t worked out that way.

Yet.

In the meantime, here’s a couple links and another photo of me² from Victoria:

What’s Up 2007: 365 Days of Skywatching–a free, downloadable ebook that would serve as a wonderful guide to looking up any night this year. Including every night this week, when you could also take a look at Comet McNaught.

1. The title of this post should be understood to sound like Andy Cramed talking to Jane when she found him dying in the woods. Michelle heard it so many times (and I’ve bothered her with it so many times since) that I’m not allowed to say it anymore. I do not, however, remember any instructions about not being able to write it. 😛 That said, either you know what I am talking about in this note, or I am recommending that you take in some Deadwood.
2. I hope it isn’t too vain to keep posting photos of myself, but I’m not certain what else you’d want to see. At least the pic doesn’t have anything to do with Nintendo.

OMG lol, dude (Yes, I have started saying lol as a word – too much Pure Pwnage). Kate and I have only just now started to get over saying “I apologiiiise” a la Deadwood after about four months of being very embarrassed to speak in public lest those words usher forth and the two of us collapse into a tittering fit of laughter.

Love the Deadwood! Jen and I have also been watching it, and I find it’s taken a toll on my language in phases…

At first, everything was a “f*cking c*cks*ck*r”, there was definitely a day or two of “I apologiiize” (that one probably didn’t stick because Jen didn’t know what I was talking about), and now i’m in a phase where I blame all of my problems on Yankton, or the Hooples.

I found out last week from my uncle that most of the main characters are based on the real first settlers of Deadwood, SD…. looked them up on wiki, and now I’m itching to go to Deadwood.

  3. I’ve been to Deadwood. The Edgeley Jazz Band played there. It was….not like the TV show.

  4. I’m happy to know that I’m in good company as regards taste in the TEEVEE.

I’m also certain that I visited Deadwood while on a family vacation to the Black Hills. I have a very faint memory of some sort of recreated (perhaps animatronic?) saloon, but nothing more.
